William Jennings Bryan tried to Warn the World about the Dangers of German Militarism fueled by Darwinism.

Bryan's warnings went unheeded by Western elites.  He warned that Darwinism had led the German Imperial Army to commit terrible atrocities in Belgium during the early days of the First World War.  Fake news at the Scopes Trial drowned out Bryan's desperate attempt to warn the nation.   Bryan had learned of the deadly combination of German militarism and Darwinism from a book titled Headquarters Nights.  This book was written by a biology professor from Stanford University named Vernon Kellogg.  In Headquarters Nights, Kellogg told of his conversations with German generals while he was stationed with the German General Staff in Belgium.  These German leaders attributed their brutal treatment of the Belgian people to an all-pervasive belief in Darwinism.  When the combination of German militarism and Darwinism spawned the horrors of the Holocaust, there would be no book in the decades following which would detail the role of science in the Holocaust.  Instead, there would be an academic silence that would last until the 1980s.
 

 

Secular Activists knew they had to hide the role played by science in the Holocaust

The report asks a simple question.  If four states restricted the teaching of evolution in their public schools as a result of the role that Darwinism played in the deaths of 6,000 Belgian civilians in August of 1914, then why wasn't the teaching of evolution outlawed in America during the late 1940s as a result of the role played by science in the Holocaust?

During the early 1920s, William Jennings Bryan went on an anti-evolution campaign in which he called for the teaching of evolution in public schools to be outlawed.  Bryan went on this campaign in part because of Vernon Kellogg's Headquarters Nights which detailed the connection between Darwinism and the "Rape of Belgium."  If bioethicist Arthur Caplan is correct in his assertion that "science permeates the Holocaust" then how is it that the teaching of evolution in American public schools was not outlawed during the late 1940s?

Secular activists would wage a successful takeover that saw them wrest control of the nation away from the "Protestant Establishment."  They fought hard to gain this authority, and they were not going to give it up. They would hide the role played by science in the Holocaust in order to prevent the rise of a new Bryan and their loss of power.

If the American people had learned of the role played by science in the Holocaust during the 1940s, every state would have outlawed the teaching of evolution in their public schools.  Secular activists knew that their control of the nation was on the line.  They crafted a cover-up that would lead this nation on a path that would lead to the overthrow of the moral principles that had served as the foundational bedrock of our society.  Secular activists used the following 5 methods to hide the truth from the American people.
